Product Safety Study
Several studies in animals have provided information about in vivo safety and toxicity of components present in extracts from Olea Europaea. (Elliot GA, Buthala DA, DeYoung EN. Preliminary safety studies with calcium elenolate, an anitviral agent. Antimicrob Agents Chemother, p.160-166, 1969).
Research indicates that even amounts many times greater than the recommended usage are unlikely to produce toxic or other adverse side effects. Oleuropein in olive leaf extract is so safe that investigators were unable to determine a lethal dose or even a toxic dose.
